Aren?t Indian women Asian women too?

When talking about Asian women, the first thing that comes to most people’s minds is the slit eyes, the petite bodies – we automatically think Japanese, Chinese, Korean … East Asian. If you don’t believe me, try searching ‘Asian Women’ on Google and see what the search results will bring.

There is a lot of information about how to date Asian women and their culture. But all this isn’t quite comprehensive because certain groups are somehow forgotten in this category. One of the groups left out is that of Indian women. We kind of take Asian to mean oriental. But according to the United States definition of Asian, the group also includes people from Southeast Asia and Indian subcontinent.

When we talk about Asian women dating and we generalize based on Chinese or Korean women, are we doing justice to Indian women? They say Asian women mostly date white men. In fact most “Asian women” I know are married to white men. But when coming to such conclusions, do we think of Indian women?

]]>

I decided to go onto interracial dating websites to look at the categories that are there. Most have a different category for Asian women and a different one for Indian women. Indians now have their own online dating sites for those interested in having relationships with them. And since most Indian women usually wait for someone to arrange their marriages, the internet through dating sites have become tools for empowering them to make their own choices about dating and marriage. They can now make acquaintances with members of the opposite sex without fear of social rebuttal.

But much as interracial dating within the American-Indian community is rising and more Indians are marrying outside their race, most Indian women in America still complain that they often find themselves caught between two worlds – A non-Indian man may not understand and fit into a traditional Indian family and also Indian men are hard to come by in the U.S. coz they avoid the Americanized Indian women.

I don’t know why we Americans don’t consider Indian women in the category of Asian women. However, I think it will be nice if we try and write more about their attitude to dating and online relationships, and how – even with their stringent cultures – they take online dating into the real world. How does interracial dating online affect their cultural and intercommunication practices and how does online dating bring social change for Indian women?

Women Inventors?important, But not so Famous

Throughout history famous female inventors and mostly have contributed enormously to the world of invention. Women inventors are responsible for a wide variety of inventions that we all encounter in our daily lives, from the automatic dishwasher to life saving medical inventions.

A brief look at some famous and not-so-famous women inventors.

Josephine Garis Cochran invented the first practical mechanical dishwasher in 1886.  Mrs. Cochrane was very wealthy and held a lot of dinner parties. Although she had servants to do the dishes, she was unhappy about how long it took and how many dishes the servants chipped. It is said that she once exclaimed, “If nobody else is going to invent a dishwashing machine, I’ll do it myself!”

She went about building one herself. Her friends were quite impressed and had her make machines for them as well.  Soon word spread, and she was getting orders for the machines from hotels and restaurants.  She got a patent on her design and went into production. At the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago she won the highest award.

Her friends talked a lot about their new machines and soon, Mrs. Cochrane was getting orders for her dishwashing machine from restaurants and hotels in Illinois. She patented her design and went into production. She showed her invention at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago and won the highest award.

Ellen Ochoa, Astronaut and Female Inventor

Ellen Ochoa born on May 10, 1958 in Los Angeles, CA., received her bachelor of science degree in physics from San Diego State University, and a master of science degree and doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Ellen Ochoa developed an optical system designed to detect imperfections in repeating patterns. Patented in 1987, this system is used for quality control in manufacturing.  Later she patented an optical system which can be used for robotic. To date, Ellen Ochoa has received three patents.

Not only is she an inventor, Dr. Ellen Ochoa is also a research scientist and astronaut for NASA. Dr. Ellen Ochoa is a veteran of three space flights and has logged over 719 hours in space.

Patsy Sherman Inventor of Scotchgard

In 1952 became one of a small minority of women chemists working for a major corporation, 3M in this case.

Patsy Sherman regards the discovery of Scotchgard as one of her most significant achievements since many experts had concluded that such a product was “thermodynamically impossible.” Patsy Sherman said, “We were trying to develop a new kind of rubber for jet aircraft fuel lines, when one of the lab assistants accidentally dropped a glass bottle that contained a batch of synthetic latex I had made. Some of the latex mixture splashed on the assistant’s canvas tennis shoes and the result was remarkable.”

That day in the lab is the stuff of legend. Patsy Sherman and her colleague, Sam Smith, were working on another project when they observed the accidental spill on a white tennis shoe. It wouldn’t wash and solvent didn’t remove it, and it resisted soiling.

Patsy Sherman and Samuel Smith obtained U.S. patent #3,574,791 in 1973, for the method for treating carpets, now known as Scotchgard. The name Scotchgard is a combination of the words Scotch and guard.

Patsy Sherman was inducted into the Minnesota Inventors Hall of Fame in 1983. Patsy Sherman and Sam Smith jointly hold 13 patents in fluorochemical polymers and polymerization processes.

Leadership ? Imagining the Future

Imagining or envisioning the future is a key aspect of leadership. Leaders need to ask questions such as :

* What will our organisation look like in 5 – 10 years time?
* What skills, capabilities and people will we need?
* How will we stand compared to others?
* What opportunities, risks and challenges does the future hold?

Providing answers to these questions requires “scenario thinking”, which helps leaders to imagine the future, especially during periods of uncertainty and transition.

Scenarios are analytical constructs predicated on a diagnosis of the present state – the seeds of the future are contained in the present. It involves leaders reflecting on what has happened and using their intuition to construct how the future might unfold and which paths the organisation may take in the future.

An excellent example of scenario thinking was undertaken in South Africa recently to engage leaders in discussions about the country’s current reality and its possible futures.

In response to the critical challenges facing South Africa, a group of 35 leaders from the government, political parties, business, public administration, trade unions, religious groups, academia and the media gathered together to consider possible futures for South Africa, and the opportunities, risks and choices these futures present.

The process that the leaders used was as follows :

Step 1 – the leaders representing the different sectors of society came together to discuss the current political, social and economic realities facing South Africa.

]]>

Step 2 – scenario “stories” on possible futures for South Africa were developed.

Step 3 – A media and engagement campaign was launched to extend the reach of the scenarios to organisations, groups and communities across the country.

The three scenario stories (named the “Dinokeng Scenarios”) that were developed were as follows :

1 – Walk Apart
This is a scenario of “musical chairs”. It is triggered by the failure of leaders across all sectors to deal with the country’s critical challenges. This failure is the result of political factionalism and weak, unaccountable government departments. Civil Society increasingly disengages as public trust in public institutions diminishes. The state is increasingly bypassed by citizens resulting in unaccountable groupings assuming power over parts of society. The gap between leaders and the led widens. Citizens loose patience and social unrest spreads. The government responds brutally and a spiral of resistance and repression is unleashed. Decay and disintegration sets in.

2 – Walk Behind
This is a scenario where the state assumes the role of leader and manager. State planning and co-ordination are seen as central mechanisms for the accelerating development and delivery to citizens, especially poor, unemployed and vulnerable people. The ruling party argues that strong state intervention in the economy is in accordance with global trends. Strong state intervention crowds out private initiative by businesses and civil society. The risks are that the country accumulates unsustainable debt, the other is the state becomes increasingly authoritarian.

3 – Walk Together
This is a scenario of active citizen engagement with a government that is effective and that listens. It requires the engagement of citizens who demand better service delivery and government accountability. It is dependent on the will and ability of citizens to engage with authorities and the quality of political leadership and its willingness to engage citizens. It entails a common national vision that cuts across economic self interest in the short term. This is not an easy scenario. There are many issues that need to be contested and it requires strong leadership from all sectors, especially from citizens.

These scenarios provide a set of options and choices for the people of South Africa who will need to make tough decisions to avert the unravelling of the gains they have made since democracy in 1994. The responsibility for addressing these challenges cannot be solely attributed to government – leaders from all sectors need to take responsibility and act together to solve the country’s challenges.

Scenario thinking helps leaders to construct the future, how the future might unfold and what opportunities, risks and choices are open to them. The example set by the Dinokeng Scenarios provides us a clear example of how scenario thinking can be applied in practise.

How to Attract Beautiful Women – 5 Powerful Tips to Attract a Woman

Being one of those guys that seems to have very little luck with women is NOT a good feeling. Talking to guys that really want to succeed at attracting women has allowed me to see some really common things that seem to get in the way of an average guy that WANTS badly to learn how to attract beautiful women.

Most average guys seem to suffer from a lack of confidence and experience with women. This is like a catch 22, as you cannot gain confidence with women until you have more experiences with women. You also probably won’t make any kind of approach on a woman until you have the confidence.

Still, any guy can learn how to attract beautiful women. It’s not rocket science. Some of those guys that are VERY good at attracting beautiful women have nothing on you, except for their ability to approach a woman.

Here are 5 powerful tips that will allow you to attract a hot woman and start seeing the kind of dating success that you NEED.

1. Know in your own mind that no woman is really out of your league. The mindset is REALLY important if you want to attract a beautiful woman. You cannot allow yourself to be easily intimidated or talk yourself out of even getting to know her simply because you assume that she will not have anything to do with YOU. It’s your mind that tells you this. Sure, there are going to be times where you do feel the cold shoulder from a woman, but not every time.

]]>

2. Don’t assume that you don’t have the “goods” to appeal to a beautiful woman. Some guys will allow themselves to be limited due to the fact that they think they don’t make enough money or they don’t have the right physique or they don’t have a “power” job. None of this is really as important as being able to use your charm to appeal to a woman.

3. Beautiful women get hit with the cheesiest of lines all of the time. So, don’t even bother with them. Seriously. A lot of guys will try to hunt down that perfect line that will work hook, line and sinker on any woman that they want, and they miss out on the bigger picture. A line just opens a conversation. That’s it.

4. You’ve go to do some of the talking and let her do some. When you are talking to a woman, it’s easy to allow yourself to kind of go on and on and not even let her get a breath in. This is especially true if you really want to impress a woman. However, you want to have an interaction with her, so you have to let her do some of the talking.

5. She’s got to see VALUE in YOU. While you don’t have to be rich and you don’t have to be a Wall Street type to attract beautiful women, there does have to be something of VALUE that she sees in YOU. Your personality can be more than enough to make her feel like she has to be around you.

Discover how to attract beautiful women without all of the games and the routines…

The 21st century will bloom under women’s leadership

August 27, 2011 by jeff · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Women Leader

Such situations are coming forth everywhere wherein the 21st century will be labeled ‘Women’s Century’. One may not exactly wish to accept this fact and the question may arise as to how such situations will arrive when so far the trend is bang opposite? Further how is it possible that those individuals who very easily enjoy various facilities and benefits will accept to waive it in their own day to day living and in the life of others too? Why would anyone get ready to lead an austere life of hardship after renouncing material comforts?

Over here it is required to understand and help others do so in a very different format. Women are a collective unit of certain great qualities and special characteristics. A superficial glimpse tells us she is human but from the standpoint of consciousness and sacred sentiments she has risen above the mundane world. Those divine glories easily possessed by women are attained by men to a certain extent only after undergoing certain special penance and carrying out many meritorious deeds. The Women’s Century will arrive so as to ward off this lack successfully. Without this innumerable types of atrocities and unethical deeds are spreading like wild fire the world over.

Imbibing righteousness and selfless service are 2 divine qualities that help man attain true glory. This is attained via high stature penance and men generally fail to get it. In comparison to them women without taking recourse to some special austerities very naturally imbibes them and on getting an apt opportunity extraordinary augmenting of these divine qualities is seen.

Those who imbibe vile qualities like hardheartedness and atrocities tend to carry out unethical deeds.   Violent beasts are seen to lead such terror based lives. Whoever crosses all limits of selfishness and hard heartedness will not only himself fall in the crater of lowliness but will induce others whom he contacts to fall in life too through sheer harassment. Without imbibing sensitive compassion no one can attain self control and will fail to help and cooperate with others. Such a one’s activities reek of oppression, suppression, kidnapping and lack of ethics. The living example of all this is a major portion of such vile behavior found in the lives of the male community. On seeing the daily living and activities of the lay public those vile taints predominate which create an atmosphere of unethical behavior and distorted elements in the world.

]]>

When we turn the pages of world history it becomes clear that so far all sorts of wars have led to loss of innumerable lives and wealth too. Behind this maybe in that rare case one finds an apt cause yet it is man’s arrogant ego, wiliness and bombastic behavior that have played a major role in it. Due to taste bud titillation it is man who has killed other creatures. There is a long line and list of crimes and criminals. If we wish to know who has played a predominating role in this it is for all to see that it is the vile atrocious activities of the male class which is to blame. If we study the details regarding police, courts and prisons it will be noted that it is men who have taken up more and more criminal activities. In comparison to this the number of females convicted for crime is very miniscule. Women are hardly seen to involve themselves in wiliness, fraud and unethical/unjust activities. In fact it is majority of males who enact vile tasks. It is men who have predominated as far as modern science and intellectualism is concerned. As a result they led in all such related programs. Again on analyzing economic offences we will find that majority of male members of society are the culprits. They are also known for carrying out crimes like rape etc. On carrying out a complete detail analysis it becomes crystal clear that it is the male class the world over who have authored the flourishing of undesirable evils. Bang opposite to this in the natural efforts of the female class it is a sense of selfless service and imbibing of righteous duty towards world society that bloom forth. Whether it is her parent’s family or that of her in laws forever she exhibits her generosity, compassion, sense of selfless service and goodwill to all. She herself takes less and gives so much that it can be called pinnacles of generosity. Those benefits accrued by her husband, children and family via her selfless activities if measured properly will tell us that she definitely leads as far as showing compassion to all and working selflessly is concerned. Despite being insulted and berated at every step in life, very rarely does she harbor a feeling of revenge. The term Devi or Goddess used as prefix before her name is not mere lip service but actually connotes her inner divine nature. Hence it is women who are reverently remembered when we use terms like Mother Earth, faith, generosity, self control etc in a symbolic manner.

The 21st century conjoined to which is a radiant world future is called ‘Women’s Century’ because hard hearted arrogance that reign today’s world trends and activities are about to be uprooted via sanctification and in its place goodwill, cooperation and generosity shall be reinstated. It can be said to a transformation in the very foundation of all current world trends witnessed by us all.

Today there are innumerous world problems. There is no arena of life which does not prevail with inapt and undesirable elements. In order to uproot these many programs are being designed by specialists and great intellectuals and put into action yet there are no signs of them being totally warded off. It is spiritual philosophy that can claim to find a definite solution for this. Apart from this it will be very difficult to find other types of solutions. The only solution is to uproot men’s vile activities in such a way so as to render them truly gentlemanly. Know for sure that calmness and serenity of soul are very naturally attained by women. If this happens we must understand that a women predominating century has arrived and the dream of a bright world future is about to materialize. Further all fearful situations resulting from a vile intellect will disappear to naught.

Qualities of a Sales Manager: Emotional Intelligence and Leadership ? Part 1

August 26, 2011 by jeff · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Women Leader

Sales Leadership is more than management. It is the ability to inspire and motivate people to give their best. Technical and organizational skills are important for leaders, but the true test of a leader is his ability to drive emotions.

A Harris Interactive poll of 23,000 employees revealed startling information about how employees perceive their work environment. Only 20 percent of employees felt enthusiasm about the team and company goals. A mere fifteen percent regarded their companies as high-trust environments, and only 17 percent felt that open communication and respect for different opinions were values within their companies. Only 15 percent felt that their companies fully enabled them to complete key goals.

Clearly, the emotional connection between employee and company is missing in many companies. Leaders must restore that emotional connection to help their employees become personally invested in company goals.

Sales Management Process: Use Emotional Intelligence in Employee Retention

Mike’s team was tasked with achieving 50 percent growth. Sales were often in the million-dollar range and had a 12 to 24-month sales cycle, and Mike’s seasoned team started the year with a robust sales pipeline. However, during the third quarter, every large deal in the last stage of the pipeline fell apart. Mike’s hopes of crashing through the quota were dashed.

]]>

Mike decided to personally ensure that each remaining deal closed. He began micro-managing not only each deal, but each of his sales people. Within months, half of his formerly high-performing team members were looking for new jobs.

What happened? In reaction to the pressure, Mike reverted to his backup behavioral style. His fear overwhelmed his judgment, and his formerly popular management style became totalitarian and despised.

In Leigh Branhaw’s 2005 book The 7 Hidden Reasons Employees Leave: How to Recognize the Signs and Act Before It’s Too Late, published by AMACOM, nine of the top reasons employees give for leaving their jobs are related to poor leadership. Leaders make decisions everyday that impact the job satisfaction of their employees.

Under effective leaders, employees strive to improve their skills and their performance. Since they stay in their jobs, they internalize the values and the goals of the company and make company success an indicator of personal success.

“Primal Intelligence: Learning to Lead with Emotional Intelligence” ascribes up to 95 percent of the difference between good and top leaders to emotional intelligence, the ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate others. In a study of more than 2000 managers from 12 large organizations, 81 percent of the competencies that distinguished outstanding managers were related to emotional intelligence.

The accurate recognition of her own emotions, the correct interpretation of her employees’ emotion, and the ability to respond appropriately make the manager with high emotional intelligence (EI) an outstanding and inspiring leader.

Incorporating EI into an overall management strategy shifts the focus from the flaws of the team to the strength of the leader. Instead of saying “My team lacks initiative, and I cannot improve their performance,” the leader with strong EI says, “I can find the motivational cues of each team member and help each one become vested in this project.”

For Mike, the threat of losing half of his team was an epiphany.  Through a Leadership Emotional IQ evaluation. Mike became more self-aware of his reactive behavior and changed his strategy, taking into account his team’s strengths, talents and skills.  The more positive work environment nurtured a winning team that is now beating their sales plan.

EI is not just acquired at birth; EI skills can be enhanced or learned. Self-assessment is a key component of becoming a successful leader.  Effective leadership that creates an innovative and results-driven environment springs from the inside of the leader, not from external rules and controls.

Ideas On Leadership Qualities And Skills For Working From Home

Why in business do some people succeed, but many fail. Business survival is about doing what it takes! Despite the many leadership definitions, this article lists five simple things to consider.

Let’s start with the question “What is leadership?” What does it look like? How is it measured? The term ‘Leadership’ has been about for years and people say ‘Mr Smith shows real leadership qualities!’ But why do people say this? What does actually mean?

There are lots of books on leadership, yet there are so few leaders. A definition of leadership is:

‘leadership has the power to rewrite the future of a group or organisation. The results of such efforts leads to remarkable successes with the right focus. Leaders act as catalysts as people around a leader has a sense of feeling they did the work themselves’.

Becoming a leader is no small task. Apparently, the experts are now disputing what leadership really is.

A single definition is missing. However, we do class some people as leaders. What is this based on? We use words to describe leaders like persistent, committed, integrity etc.

In any business, whether in a large corporate business, a small brick and mortar business or those building a business based on Ideas Working From Home, staying the course can be very difficult. To survive, in business you must become a leader. Despite there being no single agreement what leadership is, here is a list of leadership qualities – 5 things that make up a leader.

Daily visualisation and meditation of your goals. This can be seen as your quiet time. To address your why – your vision. The very reason why you are doing what you are doing. The sense of purpose. Your drive and determination.
Income producing activities. Are you moving forward in your business – planting the seeds! Every day counts. You need to stay focused and accomplish results by staying committed.
Personal development. Are you investing in yourself to help you move forward in your business? This may be a case that if you want something you never had then you need to do something you have never done. Never stop being teachable as you will need to grow and develop.
Mastermind with other leaders. Surround yourself with people you aspire to. They say that your success can be based on your 10 closest friends. Follow and educate yourself on leadership knowledge – reads books. Connect with what leaders do and follow their lead.
Cultivating expectation of leadership. You need to be playing from the top. It is not about if I had this or if I had that then everything will work. It does not work this way. You have to do what it takes. You need to find a way and not make or find excuses. Are you really committed!

]]>

A leader has a goal, is inspired to do what it takes and is hungry for results. Leaders put in the work, don’t put off until tomorrow what could be done today – making every day count. Excuses do not exist e.g. I don’t have the time, I don’t have the money etc.

So how do you become a leader and do what it takes to meet your goal?

‘If you want to change your life, then you need to change what you do on a daily basis’

Begin with the end in mind. Don’t fight for the victory, fight from the victory.

Take action today!

A leader is strong in three areas:

Strength of self mastering
Strength of action
Strength of relationship

Remember you are accountable for your actions. You really need to do what it takes. Provided you put in the work and effort then there should be no reason why you should not be successful in your business. Mastering leadership is one of the key steps to starting a small business.

My name is Gary Oakes and as a business coach, not only am I helping people to market their businesses effectively on the internet, but encouraging people to start. I’m a believer that people can find a way to build a small business in their own time, to think positive and aim for a vision and dream. We all have ideas and the ability to take control of our lives. I’m giving away free material to help one get started in any small business looking to market on the internet. Follow some really simple techniques. Start your journey by following the link to Ideas Working From Home.

It does not cost you anything to take a look, and you never know this might be the very thing you are looking for. I would be glad of any feedback and will answer questions with integrity and honesty.

Government Grants for Women – Educational Grants for Women to Help Start Their Careers

August 24, 2011 by jeff · Leave a Comment

If you are just planning to start your new life in college it can get expensive really quick but that can be helped with government grants for women. There are ways to get extra money to get started besides these government grants for women such as a small or educational loan but in the end you will have to end up paying them back with interest. Of course if you get a great job right out of college it wouldn’t be so hard to pay what you owe but with today’s economy a job isn’t guaranteed upon graduation. For this reason you will probably want to search for ways to get extra money without he extra costs associated with a loan. There are ways to get the money you need, or at least in part thanks to government funded grants.

Since this is a grant you aren’t expected to pay it back but you are expected to use it to offset the costs that the grant was awarded for. Today government grants for women are easy to obtain for education purposes and the school’s admissions office or financial department can often get you help signing up. Some government grants for women may not seem like they offer a large amount but when combined with others they can pay for just about everything you need. You won’t be rolling in the cash but if you spend carefully all of your grants combined may pay for your tuition, books, room and board. The American Society of Women Accountants Educational Foundation offers several government grants for women.

These grants may not cover every cent you need to pay off your entire costs of education but hey will most likely help a lot. They offer a member scholarship or grant to any of their members looking to get a certificate in CPA, CFP, CFE, CIA, CMA, or CVA. They also offer a second grant for women looking to attend a two year program or a community college and are attempting to get either a financial or accounting degree. Finally they offer women seeking a financial or accounting degree an Undergraduate Grant for help with their third, fourth or fifth year courses. Then there is The American Association of University Women, or AAUW that is known as the largest source of funding for women’s education providing over three million dollars in government grants for women just this year. In fact they are already taking applications for the new Branch and State Scholarships and Grants for the 2010/2011 school year. Each branch has different awards but by contacting your local office you can obtain more information.

If you are having trouble locating them your school’s admissions office should be able to help. By using government grants for women such as these and combining them with more gender neutral grants such as the Pell Grant you can nearly pay for everything with them. Of course you shouldn’t go waste the money either by giving it away to your friends and partying with it. government grants for women should be used for your college and living expenses so you can make a better life for yourself.

The Lamad Method of Christian Education

August 23, 2011 by jeff · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Women Leader

The Hebrew language uses one root (lamad) for the two words “to teach” and “to learn.” In the Hebrew culture, the teacher has not taught unless the student has learned. All learning and teaching is ultimately to be found in the fear of the Lord. The goal of teaching is not the impartation of facts but the changing of lives. For the Hebrew, knowledge (yadah) involves personal encounter and response to God’s revelation.

In the lamad method of learning, we are returning to the Hebraic concept of education, including this personal encounter and revelation. The classroom becomes a place of impassioned discussion and the sharing of real life experience. It is a place where we meet God and share in the life experiences of others. It is a place where we practice truth. The classroom is not separated from life but is actually part of our lives.

Lamad Lifelong Learning

Learning is to be lifelong. It is impossible to cram education into the early years of our lives. Learning, transformation, assimilation, and creativity are lifelong matters, with extended periods of time being given to first one topic and then another, until one’s giftedness has been multiplied many fold (Matt. 25:20).

]]>

Lamad Key Components

The Greeks emphasized “detached information,” while the Hebrews stressed “personal encounter.” It was important to the Hebrews that each learner personally encounter and be transformed by what was before him. Spiritual encounter and response to the revelation of God is the central dynamic of Scripture. Life is the classroom. If we offer classes, we must make sure they are life encounters in which we practice truth.

Goal of Instruction

Lamad learning recognizes the GOAL of our instruction is love from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith (I Tim. 1:5). You will notice that all of these are HEART realities. The mind is made to serve the heart. All training is to be heart-focused. Mankind has been FORBIDDEN to eat from the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.” Instead, he is to eat from the “Tree of Life,” Jesus Christ!

Lamad Teaching Techniques

Personal encounter demands a teaching style of guided self-discovery, where the student is guided in his own uncovering of the truth. Lamad learning encourages the flow of revelation within the hearts of the students. Discovery often happens best in a lively interchange within the classroom. Therefore, effective group interaction must be promoted and guided by the lamad teacher.

The Abiding Realities

”Now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (I Cor. 13:13). Certain things are central to life and eternity; others are not. Anger, fear, and doubt are temporary and will be swallowed by love. The lamad curriculum constantly emphasizes the abiding realities, instilling them in the lives of its students.

The Trinity

Man is to live caught in the flow of God. This is accomplished by lifting up our eyes in worship to the King, becoming consumed by His presence. While we are in the Lord’s presence, we acknowledge that we no longer live, but that Christ is our life, and the life we now live is by faith (Gal. 2:20). We live out of daily fellowship with the Holy Spirit, recognizing that everything done outside of divine flow is a dead work.
